The Laboratory for Information Systems (LabIS) is the locus for information systems (IS) research at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. LabIS staff members pursue a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary approach to supporting the entire life-cycle of IS development. Their research interests include IS development methodologies, advanced software architectures and modern database systems, information integration and retrieval systems for the Web, document management and workflow systems, and other software tools and components used for building complex information systems.
LabIS aims to be academic - to understand and improve the ways how information systems can be built - and practical - to enable organisations to develop better IS. Having strong practical orientation, LabIS collaborates with many business partners and public sector departments helping them to achieve their business goals.
